How the Bilimeter 3 Works

The Bilimeter 3 is a compact spectrophotometric bilirubin analyser. A prepared sample is placed into the appropriate sample holder/capillary system and inserted into the measuring chamber. The instrument uses LED illumination and optical filtering to determine bilirubin concentration. The manufacturer describes the Bilimeter 3 as the successor to the Bilimeter 2, with LED technology, no moving parts, improved linearity and haemolysis compensation.
