Olympus internal transmitted-light filter assembly removed from an Olympus BX61TRF motorized microscope.

This is the complete built-in filter selector mechanism fitted within the Olympus BX61/BX61TRF microscope base, including the individual filter carriers, control plungers and mounting plate shown in the photographs.

Filter positions

• ND6 — neutral-density filter, approximately 6% transmission
• ND25 — neutral-density filter, approximately 25% transmission
• LBD — daylight colour-balancing filter
• OP — optional-filter position

Olympus documentation confirms that these filters are individually moved into and out of the transmitted-light path by pressing the corresponding front control knobs.

Removed from an Olympus BX61TRF microscope that was working before dismantling.

The assembly shows normal cosmetic signs of previous laboratory use. The filter carriers, glass filters and mechanical controls are shown clearly in the photographs.

This individual assembly has not been separately reinstalled or optically tested after removal.
